These terms govern your use of breakevencards.com ("Breakeven"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
What Breakeven is
Breakeven estimates the potential return on grading a trading card using real sold-comp data, grading fees, and grade probabilities. You can optionally upload a card photo for an AI grade estimate, which feeds those grade probabilities. It is an informational tool, not financial, investment, or appraisal advice. All prices, grade estimates, and verdicts are estimates, not guarantees — card markets move, and you are responsible for your own buying, grading, and selling decisions.
Photo grading & AI estimates
If you upload a photo, we use a third-party AI provider to estimate a grade and the odds of each outcome from the image. This is an automated estimate from a photo, not an appraisal and not a grade from PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, or any grading company — the real grade is decided only when you submit the card. Photo quality, lighting, and angle affect accuracy, and the estimate can be wrong. Don't treat it as a guarantee or as the sole basis for a buying or grading decision. You must own or have the right to upload any photo you submit, and you may not upload anything unlawful, infringing, or containing other people's personal information.
Your account
You must provide accurate information, including a valid email and phone number, and keep your login secure. One account per person. Don't abuse, scrape, resell, or attempt to bypass limits of the service, and don't use it for anything unlawful.
Subscriptions & payment
The free tier is limited; Pro is a paid subscription billed through Stripe, available monthly ($12/month) or yearly ($120/year). Your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account; cancellation stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the current period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
Text message (SMS) terms
If you opt in to text alerts, you consent to receive recurring automated price-alert messages from Breakeven at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies with the alerts you set, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No warranty & liability
The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Breakeven is not liable for any losses arising from your use of the service or reliance on its estimates, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months.
Where we operate
Breakeven is offered to and intended for users in the United States. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
