Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details — your email address and a mobile phone number, which we verify by text to keep accounts to one per person.
• Usage — the cards you search, save to a watchlist, or set alerts on, so the product can function.
• Card photos — if you use the AI grade estimate, the photo you upload is processed to estimate a grade. Upload only photos of trading cards you have the right to share.
• Payment — if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Technical — standard log and device data needed to run and secure the site.

How we use it

To provide the calculator, AI photo grade estimate, watchlist, alerts, and bulk tools; to verify accounts and prevent abuse; to process subscriptions; to send you the alerts and account emails you ask for; and to operate and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers we share with

We share only what each provider needs to do its job: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (phone verification and texts), Anthropic (the AI that estimates a grade from a photo you upload), and our hosting and database providers. Card price data comes from a third-party market-data provider. A photo you upload for grading is sent to our AI provider only to produce your estimate; we don't use your photos to train AI models or sell them.

Text messages (SMS)

If you opt in, we send price-alert texts through Twilio to the phone number you verified. Message frequency depends on the alerts you set. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or by turning the alert off in your account; reply HELP for help. We do not sell or share your mobile number or your SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data from our systems (and downstream from the providers above) within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations. Card photos you upload for grading are not stored — they're processed to produce your estimate and then discarded. Operational logs are kept for a short period and then rotated out.

Your choices

You can edit your details or turn off alerts in your account at any time. To delete your account and personal data, email support@breakevencards.com and we'll take care of it.

Where we operate

Breakeven is intended for users in the United States, and our data is stored in the United States. We don't target or knowingly market the service to people outside the U.S.

We may update this policy; we'll change the date above when we do. Continued use means you accept the current version.
